Newbury big band swing features sounds of Ella Fitzgerald and Natalie Cole

Enjoy some musical fireworks Friday night (8pm) with the Apollo Big Band and Steph Richardson at Sutton Hall, Stockcross.

The band will be supporting popular singer Steph, who is originally from Hungerford, a greatly accomplished and popular purveyor of standard songs by the great singers of the past: Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole etc but including many more recent and film numbers like I Wanna Be Like You and Nobody Does it Better.

Apollo will perform a wide range of numbers from up-tempo standards to easy swing and even hints of Spain. Steph’s warm and engaging personality and Apollo’s superb musicians and highly-skilled soloists will ensure a great evening’s entertainment.

The Stockcross pop-up bar will also smooth the way to a special evening.
