Made in the Hood among 200 artists opening their doors for Hampshire Open Studios this weekend

More than 200 artists will open their doors for Hampshire Open Studios this week.

Made in the Hood will be taking part again over the bank holiday weekend in the recently refurbished Westridge Studio in Highclere.

Westridge will be filled with an exciting mix of crafts old and new, with bobbin wire lace, ceramics, glass, jewellery, painting, silks, and sculpture by 11 local artists. A new addition to the group is basketry by Erica Adams, who grows her own willow to make both beautiful and useful items, such as laundry baskets, log baskets and cribs as well as handy shopping baskets. She uses traditional techniques and often works to commission, making gifts to mark special events in people's lives.
