May the 4th be with you!

On Star Wars Day we remember the news that Greenham's silos would feature in the film Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which hit the cinemas in 2015.

There had been rumours of mysterious goings on at Greenham Common, but it was shrouded in secrecy.

The news broke after photographer Matthew Myatt snapped Han Solo’s prized craft, the Millennium Falcon, alongside an X-Wing fighter parked outside the former GAMA site, while shooting promotional pictures for Airbourne Aviation based at Popham Airfield in Hampshire.

Footage featuring Greenham Common then began to emerge https://bit.ly/3MUoDdv
