Bestselling author Rachel Joyce Live in Your Lounge

More news, no ads

Hungerford Bookshop continues its live on-line author events programme with bestselling writer Rachel Joyce on Tuesday (April 13) at 7.30pm.

Rachel Joyce is the author of the Sunday Times and international bestsellers The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry, Perfect, The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy and The Music Shop. Her latest novel Miss Benson’s Beetle (just released in paperback) is an uplifting story of female friendship against the odds.

“I genuinely adored this novel” says bookshop owner Emma Milne-White. “It has a bit of everything - mystery, adventure, humour. It’s also very moving but has some wonderfully funny parts too”.

The event will take place on Zoom. Attendees can listen to Emma chat to the author - who moved to writing after a long career as an actor, performing leading roles for the RSC and the National Theatre - and ask questions. The book is available to buy at the same time as the ticket (see the bookshop’s event page on their website), or if readers have already read the book there is an ‘access only’ option.
