Find out why debut author Chloe Dalton’s Raising Hare is being called Book of The Year
A multi-award-winning Sunday Times bestselling nature writer is coming to Hungerford
Find out why debut author Chloe Dalton’s book Raising Hare is being called The Book of The Year by so many when she comes to talk about it at The Croft Hall, Hungerford on Wednesday, December 11.
Chloe Dalton was living a hectic life in London working as a political advisor when lockdown struck. She decided to return to the countryside she grew up in.
In her garden one day, she found an abandoned baby hare, no bigger than her palm and knew she had to save it. Raising Hare is the extraordinary story of the relationship that grows between Chloe and the hare.
‘Imagine you could hold a baby hare and bottle-feed it. Imagine that it lived under your roof and lolloped around your bedroom at night, drumming on the duvet cover when it wanted your attention. Imagine that, over two years later, it still ran in from the fields when you called it and snoozed in your house for hours on end. This happened to me.’
Raising Hare has been voted The Book of the Year by The Times, The Spectator and The Hay Festival and has been shortlisted for many more awards.
Chloe will be talking about her life with the hare and signing copies of her book from 7pm at The Croft Hall, Hungerford. Tickets are available from Eventbrite or from the Hungerford Bookshop.
The perfect Christmas gift for the nature lover in your life!
