Former musical theatre performer takes the reins at Stagecoach Performing Arts school




A former musical theatre performer is looking forward to inspiring the next generation of aspiring young performers after being appointed the new principal of Stagecoach Performing Arts school in Burghfield Common.

Longstanding member of the Stagecoach family Jessica Rampling, 30, brings a wealth of creative experience to the position.

At the age of 15, she took on the lead role of Sandy in a theatre production of Grease and since then has never looked back.

Her impressive CV boasts performances at several iconic venues, such as Lighthouse Poole, where she played Sleeping Beauty, London Cabaret Club with multiple appearances as a Latin dancer, and the Bathway Theatre in London, where she swung the roles of Velma and Roxy in a production of Chicago.

Jessica has also travelled the world as a lead singer on AIDA cruise ships and a recording vocalist on Carnival Cruises.

She said: “I’m buzzing with excitement at the opportunity to build a strong, creative programme that will challenge the talented children of Burghfield Common, while being fun, educational, stimulating and rewarding for them.”

“We have been extremely busy planning the year and its activities. Watch this space for some of the exciting events we have in store, such as our summer workshop on Roald Dahl’s Matilda.”

Stagecoach Performing Arts Burghfield Common is part of the biggest network of extra-curricular performing arts schools in the UK. The classes are divided across Early Stages (ages 4-6), Main Stages (ages 6-15) and Further Stages (ages 15+) and cover singing, dancing and acting.
