Newbury Photography Club member beats more than 40,000 entrants to be exhibited in the prestigious Portrait Photographer of the Year show
Newbury Photography Club member Gina Robinson beat more than 40,000 entrants to be exhibited in the prestigious Portrait Photographer of the Year at the Coningsby Gallery in Bloomsbury.
The London gallery showcases the work of exceptional artists.
The photograph – Girl in Red Mourning Veil – was taken in Bath at a climate change street theatre event organised by the Red Rebel Brigade.
The event was a ‘Funeral for Mother Nature’ and the portrait was taken of a young rebel in a contemplative mood.
Gina said: “I hope through my photography I can raise awareness of global issues and create beautiful thought-provoking images.”
She has also had another of her images selected to be exhibited in the Black and White Photographer of the Year in Chicago next year.
