Pimm’s, canapés and four fantastic authors in Hungerford Bookshop courtyard for Summer Reading Celebration
IT’S nearly time for Hungerford Bookshop’s Summer Reading celebration.
They’ve got their fingers crossed for sun as they string-up bunting, pour the Pimm’s into big jugs, arrange canapés, and gather in the courtyard to hear from four fantastic authors and a few booksellers.
For two hours on Friday (July 19) the authors will have 10 minutes each to tell you about their books, and the booksellers will share their favourite reads of the year so far.
This year includes Lucy Atkins (Windmill Hill, a summer book pick for both the Guardian and the Observer), historical fiction writer freelance journalist and editor Vanessa de Haan, freelance editor on food, travel and fiction titles Jackie Fraser and bestselling travel writer Ben Aitken with his treat of a book Here Comes the Fun.
From 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
