Newbury bigs up the harp

Friends of Newbury Spring Festival are hosting a concert on Sunday, October 9 from 3pm to 4pm at St George’s Church Hall, Wash Common.

It will feature Eleanor Turner, professional harpist and member of 4 Girls 4 Harps, composer and arranger.

She will be demonstrating and performing, making it an educational concert with an opportunity to learn more about the versatility of the harp.

Eleanor will start with classical well-known works before moving on to explain about her other harps, their repertoire now and then perform some popular classics on her electric harp.

The concert will be followed by tea and cake.

The Friends are keen to demonstrate that the festival brings all sorts of music and different artists to Newbury and is open to all.
