Toronto roots rock outfit head to Newbury with a hearty dose of Southern-style swagger: take a listen




Four-piece Toronto rock outfit The Commoners boast “a sound tapped from the oaken belly of a whiskey barrel”.

They head to Arlington Arts on Wednesday, July 24 (8pm) with their own blend of a tried-and-true musical mix, peppering their sound with high-energy riffs, soulful vocals and rich harmonies combined to take the listener on a journey through a Southern-style rock experience.

The Commoners are currently riding high on Planet Rock Radio for the sixth time with their current single Shake You Off, which follows hot on the heels of their previous singles The Way I Am and Devil Teasin’ Me that received hundreds of spins on Planet Rock.

Following their critically acclaimed 2022 sophomore album Find A Better Way, on their new album Restless, the Canadian Roots-Rock quintet continue their musical journey, providing listeners with a hearty dose of Southern-style swagger accentuated with slide guitar, organ swell and heartfelt vocals.
