Platinum Jubilee: Elizabethan mansion Shaw House in Newbury to light up in red, white and blue

In honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Shaw House will be illuminated in red, white and blue every evening from 9.30pm on Tuesday, May 31, to Sunday, June 5.
On the Tuesday and Wednesday visitors will also be able to explore inside Shaw House and refreshments will be available from the café.
The house and grounds will open at 9pm and close at 10.30pm.
From Thursday, June 2, to Sunday, June 5, the illuminations will continue every evening from 9.30pm and visitors will be able to enjoy the spectacle from the historic gates, but the house and grounds will be closed.
On these evenings parking will be available in the car park opposite St Mary’s Church.
The event is free and there is no need to book.
