Waddesdon Manor and Gardens displays largest ever Standing with Giants installation – 300 soldier silhouettes and 225 painted poppy wreaths
Largest Standing with Giants installation on display all week at Waddesdon Manor and Gardens, near Aylesbury.
Three hundred soldier silhouettes and 225 painted poppy wreaths are on display at Waddesdon Manor and Gardens until November 21.
The installation provides a meaningful space for people to visit, reflect and connect during this year’s Remembrance period.
It is also a fundraiser on behalf of The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
The community-based project hopes to raise understanding and appreciation of our freedom and to remember and pay tribute to those who gave their lives so we could live ours today.

The installation at Waddesdon Manor is on display until Sunday, November 21.
A spokesperson for Waddesdon said: "We've made arrangements that those wanting to visit the Standing with Giants installation may do so freely Monday-Friday between 10am-4pm."
However, the weekend of November 20-21 is their big Christmas event, with more than 9,000 visitors booked. Therefore they advise that any other visitors who want to see the installation at the weekend do so between 10am and 12noon only as the roads through the village and car park will be full of Christmas visitors and only visitors with a valid Christmas grounds admission ticket will be admitted after midday.
