The Snowman LIVE with Wantage Band
Following their success last Christmas, Wantage Band are combining the festive concert experience with the magic of cinema again. With the loss of Raymond Briggs in August this year, it’s a good time to gather to enjoy this 1982 festive masterpiece.
A family favourite, The Snowman has a special place in the hearts of so many and it is no surprise that a performance of the full soundtrack, along to the film on the big screen, is proving a huge hit, with tickets selling rapidly for four performances across Saturday, December 3 and Sunday 4, at The Beacon, in the centre of Wantage.
Following the band’s successful contesting year, resulting in them being ranked #22 in the world brass band rankings, audiences will also hear the band perform other festive favourites such as Jingle Bells, Frosty The Snowman and music from the blockbuster Frozen 2. Each performance will last an hour and is suitable for families of all ages.
One band member said: “It’s a joy and privilege to perform the soundtrack to The Snowman. There are so many ‘goosebump moments’ and I can’t wait for the weekend of performances once again!”
There are still some tickets available at www.beaconwantage.co.uk/events/wantage-silver-band-the-snowman
