10 bandstand gigs at Newbury's Victoria Park

ARCHIE Coffield was all kilted up to play bagpipes on the bandstand in the interval, when members of The Project Band recently played in Victoria Park. Archie was one of Paul McCartney’s original Mull Of Kintyre Pipers in 1977.

“It was an amazing afternoon,” said Paul Worsley of Sound Newbury, who organised the event.

The Project Band is for local amateur musical enthusiasts who learn how to play modern pop, soul, funk and jazz, directed by local professional saxophonist Simon Currie. https://www.projectband.co.uk
