Love books? Volunteer to help at a weekend literature festival
Would you like a glimpse behind the scenes at Marlborough LitFest?
They’re looking for volunteers who can spare an hour or two over the festival weekend of September 25-28 and would love to hear from anyone willing to help this or next year.
This could be your chance to meet some top writers.
Volunteer opportunities range from helping at the box office or the festival café in the Town Hall to stewarding events in venues across Marlborough and supporting the free children’s events.
And if you’re a dab hand at social media or you fancy dressing up as a LitFest jester, do get in touch with them!
There are perks – as well as getting the chance to watch the event they help at, volunteers are invited to the LitFest programme launch in July where they can buy tickets for all festival events ahead of general sale.
And you get to be part of the lively team who deliver the festival. The committee is made up of a team of volunteers too who give up their time throughout the year to organise Marlborough LitFest.
The LitFest committee really appreciates volunteers’ hard work and dedication in the lead up to and during the festival weekend and hope that they enjoy themselves too. “It’s so rewarding working together as a community to make the festival run smoothly.”
Please email general@marlboroughlitfest.org if you are interested in becoming a volunteer.
