Hungerford read to get back into the swing of things
Following a popular and well-received first post-lockdown gig last weekend, Wantage Big Band will present an evening of swing at The Croft Hall, Hungerford on Saturday (September 18). Their set will include classics from Big Band royalty such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Sammy Nestico right through to the more modern sound of Michael Buble.
As part of the Wantage Silver Band organisation, the Big Band have been fortunate to be able to use the Band Hall to get back to rehearsals in recent months and are excited to be able to share their music with enthusiastic audiences once again.
Put on your dancing shoes and join them at the Croft Hall on the 18th; there will be a bar serving throughout the evening - café style seating with space to dance for anyone who feels the urge.
The gig is the second event of Arts for Hungerford’s Autumn programme, following a fantastic evening with Jack Lukeman last Thursday.
