Lights, Camera, Orchestra! Experience the Magic of the Movies with Beenham Wind Orchestra, St Nicolas Church, Newbury at 7.30pm. Celebrating 25 years of Beenham Wind Orchestra. Guest soloist Victoria Stapleton performs the emotive theme from Schindler’s List and there’s a world premiere by Anton Lakes Pulse of a new work for solo tuba and wind orchestra, composed by Angel Garcia Martinez and commissioned for Jonathan Hodgetts. Thatcham 10k, multi-terrain race around Thatcham Lakes, along the Kennet and Avon Canal and through south Thatcham, raising funds for the Mayor of Thatcham’s nominated charities, Thatcham Youth and Cruse Bereavement Support. Supported by BBOWT and Thatcham Town Council.
Choral Evensong, St Mary’s Church, Speen, at 6pm. Beautiful music, followed by refreshments. Everyone is very welcome.
