COMMUNITY Day at Victoria Park, Newbury, 11am-3pm. Music, food, stalls and games and activities from Kennet District Scouts and local charities. Performances, military vehicles and displays at Royal British Legion, Pelican Lane, from 12pm.
DAILY until May 17: Aldworth St Mary’s Church Art Group exhibition, 10am and 5pm from May 10 to 17. The group is made up of amateur artists who live in the village or the surrounding area. Morning open sketching sessions (paper and charcoal provided) from 10.30am to 12.30pm, daily, plant stall and tea, coffee and cake served all day.

VICTORY IN KINGSCLERE day at Kingsclere Village Club, George Street, 10am to 4pm.(nearest parking at the public car park round the corner outside the Bowling Club in in Ashford Hill Road).See what happened in Kingsclere during WW2 - displays including the local Home Guard, Women’s Land Army, Royal Observer Corps Post, Naval Ordnance Proofing Range, fundraising efforts, Crown Shooting and WI. Teas and coffees served throughout the day.

NEWBURY Neighbourhood Watch/West Berkshire Neighbourhood Watch at 7.15 pm in Kersey Hall at the Waterside Centre, Waldegrave Place, Northbrook Street, Newbury. Sean Murphy, Public Protection Manager, Trading Standards talk on Fraud and Unfair Trading. Also talks from Chief Inspector/Deputy Commander Stewart Codling, Inspector Alan Hawkett and Phil Knight of Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service. No parking available at the Waterside Centre but several car parks close by. Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting from all over West Berkshire.
