SATURDAY
Newbury Lions bring a host of Italian Cars to Newbury town centre, 10am until 4pm. The Italian Auto Moto Club have held similar highly successful events in other town centres and are hoping that this could become an annual event in Newbury. Cars will line up along the length of Northbrook Street and their owners will be available to chat about their amazing vehicles. There will be a bucket collection for donations to Newbury Lions Club and their mascot Roary will be in attendance, hoping to get a few photo opportunities with his favourite cars! Proceeds to support vulnerable people and families in need in the local area . The road closure will start an hour earlier at 9am. The charter market will be operating as usual.
Woolton Hill and Highclere Market, at Thorngrove School, Highclere. 10am to 1pm. Over 60 stalls, including nine new ones, tea room by St Thomas’ Church, Woolton Hill. Enter the free Sea Creature Colouring Competition for children aged 2-12.
SUNDAY
Newbury and Thatcham Repair Café at Newbury Methodist Church Hall, RG14 1AN, 2pm-4.30pm. Last repair check-in at 4pm. Wilton Windmill Family Fun Day, noon to 5pm. Live music, crafts, raffle, stalls, food and drink, children’s games, guided tours.
National Human Animal Bond Awareness Day, Trindledown Farm, Wantage Road RG17 7DQ. An interactive day for animal lovers with inspiring talks. Pet behaviour, vet advice, pet food bank, flea and worm treatment, community support, free microchip checks and microchipping for dogs, advice on neutering. 10am-4pm.
Bingo night at Thatcham Rugby Club. Every Sunday, doors open 6.30pm and eyes down around 7.30pm. All cash prizes and a raffle. Everyone welcome – £12 book of six games, £1 big money flyer, £1 looney special, £1 raffle strip. Contact Caroline 07766 388154.
