And Sunday 7, Berkshire Craft, Food & Gift Fair, Newbury Showground, 10am-6pm. The perfect place to start that Christmas shopping with a wide and varied selection of craft, food and gift Stands. A shoppers paradise that you are unlikely to find on any high street. Entertainment all day long and quality food and drink for you to relax, unwind and sample. The ever popular chainsaw carving area will host daily speed carves with a chance to win your favourite carving at auction as well as that special gift for that loved one. The show will include a traditional craft demonstrations, make and take areas and children’s amusements for a complete day out. Fireworks Spectacular, Newbury Racecourse, doors open 5.30pm, display 7.30pm. All proceeds going to local causes. There will be an array of stalls selling hot food and drinks as well as a licenced bar.

Kingsclere fireworks, Kingsclere Primary School. Gate open: 4.30pm. Fireworks 6pm. No tickets on the gate. Tickets available from Swan Street Stores.

Pop up café, Great Shefford Village Hall, 10am-2pm. Coffee, bacon butty or cake. Raffle, tombola, games, local crafts. Free activities for children. Organised by Chaddleworth & Shefford Schools PTFA

Pangbourne Fireworks, Pangbourne Primary School, gates open 5.30m, fireworks 7pm. Organised by the Friends of Pangbourne Primary School. Bonfire, barbecue, refreshments, stalls, tombola and glow toys. Tickets available from Pangbourne Fireworks page on FB.

Fireworks night, Hermitage Primary School, gates open 5.30pm, fireworks from 7pm. Bar, hot drinks and refreshments, as well as outdoor disco. Entry adults £7, children £5, under 4s free. Book online via Hermitage PTA website or on the door.

And Sunday 7, Tree and bulb planting, Stroud Green, Newbury, 10am-1pm. Newbury Friends of the Earth Lockdown Woods project will be planting saplings grown by local residents and spring-flowering bulbs. Everyone welcome. Details on www.newburyfoe.co.uk or FB ‘Lockdown Wood’

Baughurst Scout & Guide Group fireworks, Adam’s Field, opens 6pm, fireworks 7pm. Adults £8, Children £4 and family tickets £17 (or £20 on gate). Advance tickets from The Badger’s Wood, Gormet Queens Café, Ray Klatt & Son Butchers. No guarantee of entry on the night if capacity reached.

Newbury Chamber Choir, St John's Church, Newbury, 6.00pm. Schubert’s “Die schöne Müllerin” (The Miller’s Pretty Daughter) arranged for choir and instruments by local composer Flori Maunders. Tickets £10, Under 18's free, on the door or via the website. Visit www.newburychamberchoir.org

West Berks Climate Action Network, Outreach and leafleting, Northbrook Street, Newbury, 11am-3pm. ‘Your Climate Action Took Kit’

Church of the Ascension, Burghclere, church tidy up, 9.30am-12noon. Help give the churchyard a tidy up – bring your own garden tools if you have them. Coffee and biscuits provided.

Wedding Fair, Hungerford Town Hall, 11am-3pm. Dresses, make up, musicians, suits, jewellery and much more.

Vintage Military vehicles display, Hungerford Arcade, 10.15am-3.15pm. The 1st Dorset Regiment Reenactment Association will also be there. Raising money for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Christmas Market, Aldermaston Village Hall, 11am-3pm. Shop gifts and art form local small business. Free entry.
