Ding Dong Daddies, DJs, roller disco & vintage dance in Newbury's Amazing August




Corn Exchange's Amazing August programme of activities is under way with events designed to fill the family’s summer holidays with fun until Saturday, August 27.

The Superhero Adventure Trail, perfect for people with children aged 4-11, is a great way for families to explore Newbury throughout the month. Children can transform into superheroes and set off around the town centre on a nature-themed adventure trail designed by artist Anna Bruder, from A Line Art.

Children aged 12 and under can get their dancing skates on at the Family Roller Disco on selected Thursdays and Fridays throughout August, with skates and safety gear provided.

For those who prefer flippers, families can get their fins flapping to the beat at the underwater-themed party Deep Sea Ravers on Saturday, August 13.

For adults, the Corn Exchange’s adult only Silent Disco on Saturday, August 13 is an opportunity for a fantastic night out with friends, with music from different genres across different headphone channels.

On Sunday, August 14, start your day with Uplift Dance in Goldwell Park, an early morning freeform dance session surrounded by nature, for some invigorating morning movement.

On Friday 19, music fans can discover the very best local talent at the DJ Xchange, where DJs from Berkshire and beyond will hit the decks to showcase sets from House, Techno, Drum & Bass and more.

And for vintage themed fun, the Tea Dance on Sunday, August 21 will have you waltzing through the afternoon, led by professional Emma Mayo.

The Vintage Dance Party on Saturday, August 27, starting with a themed cocktail hour and an optional dance class, to live music from Reading band the Ding Dong Daddios and DJ Holly France.
