Classic cars and bikes meet for year's finale at West Berks pub The Bell at Aldworth on Sunday
If you have a classic car or motorbike, or any other vehicle, why not take it along on to the award-winning The Bell at Aldworth on Sunday? It's the last informal meet of the year. Just turn up. There's no charge. There's always a great turn-out of classic cars and motorbikes for the popular gathering, which runs from noon.
The meets attract a wide range of lovingly-restored vehicles, both local and from miles around. At the last meet Rolls Royces, old tractors, Land Rovers, classic collectable cars and motorbikes, a speedboat that can be driven on the road, to a little Czech farm curiosity – traffic of yesteryear turned into and out of the field behind the pub.
Chat was lively as enthusiasts exchanged stories and the queue of visitors waiting to order beer and The Bell's famous rolls at the bar was non-stop until after 3pm, prompting one regular to comment: "It's like the old days. Packed. Everyone polite and patient queuing for service. Such a lovely place at The Bell Inn."
