Thames Valley Police appeal for help after victim left with facial injuries in assault in Thatcham





A victim suffered facial injuries in an assault in Thatcham.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses of the assault on Saturday, October 30.

The incident occurred at around 11.45pm in the Broadway.

The victim was standing outside a kebab van when the offender kicked and punched him to the floor.

He sustained injuries to his face and required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

The offender is described as a white man in his fifties, wearing a dark puffer jacket and jeans.

Investigating officer at Newbury police station Pc Rachael Hall said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who may have been in the area and witnessed this assault to please get in touch.

“Alternatively, for 100 per cent anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
