1,000-voice festival finale

On Thursday, December 12, choirs from across the area will be keeping Christmas shoppers entertained all around the town centre from 5.30pm.
Then at 7pm the festive finale will see all the choirs join together with the public in the Market Place to sing some well known Christmas carols.
Jane Dunton from Sing for Fun will be conducting and song sheets and glow sticks will be provided, with the aim that members of the public will all join in to create the sound of a choir of 1,000 voices. For more information email Suzanne Young on suzanne@newburybid.com
Shops across the town will stay open until 8pm on the next three Thursdays.
This year there will be road closures in place to ensure the pedestrianised areas stay car-free and shoppers can also take advantage of free parking in the Parkway, Camp Hopson, Kennet Centre and Northbrook multi-storey car parks from 5pm until 8pm on late night shopping days.
