1,000 voices for Christmas

Choirs from across the area kept Christmas shoppers entertained at various spots around the town centre from 5.30pm.
Then, at 7pm, they all combined for a grand finale of carols in the Market Place.
Shoppers were handed glow sticks and song sheets and encouraged to join in the fun.
The Choir of 1,000 Voices was conducted by Jane Dunton of Sing for Fun.
She said afterwards: “Thank you to all who came along to Newbury's Festive sing out - it was wonderful to see so many people.
“Thank you and well done also to the performance singers for singing beforehand in Parkway.”
