100 households left without water on Saturday

Households in Bucklebury, Frilsham and Aldermaston experienced no water or very low water pressure for more than 12 hours while repairs were carried out to the pipe in Harts Hill Road, Thatcham.
Parts of Upper Bucklebury were also affected, with resident Jean Bearman revealing she was unable to run a bath at 5:30pm as the water pressure was so low.
A spokeswoman for Thames Water, Natalie Slater, said: “The burst was reported at 9am, but this was a complicated job that required a lot of digging and the replacement of nearly 10 metres of pipe.
“It took until around 10pm to finish the repair, meaning some customers on higher ground were without water for this time. We're really sorry for the disruption this caused."
