West Berks Foodbank's plea for Christmas goodies to go in food parcels

West Berks Foodbank has put out a plea for people to donate festive treats for them to add to their food parcels.

In a social media post the charity said: "We need you - demand has outstripped supply.

"Please consider donating one or two of the following. We can then add some Christmas joy to the standard parcels!"

The foodbank is hoping to add some Christmas goodies to all of its regular food parcels during the festive season and so is appealing for 12 festive treats.

They are Christmas candles, yule log, mince pies, luxury biscuits, Pringles, Christmas pudding, stuffing, savoury crackers, Christmas cake, chocolates, soft drinks and indulgent toiletries.

You can drop items off at the collection points in local supermarkets.
