13,000ft skydive for neonatal unit

The Northbrook Street store’s customer service supervisor Paul Marshall recently plummeted 13,000 feet in a sponsored skydive, and raked in £375 for the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital, Bristol.
Mr Marshall said: “Before the skydive I wasn’t worried at all, just very excited, especially as it was for such a great cause. The skydive really was an amazing, life-changing experience.”
This will not be the only fundraising feat for the supervisor, who said that he plans to do a bungee jump later in the year.
The Cots for Tots Appeal, launched in October 2010, aims to raise £1m for four new life-saving cots at the NICU and to fund the Cots for Tots House, a 12-bed family accommodation facility nearby.
The corporate partnerships manager for the Cots for Tots Appeal, Sarah Vipond, said: “Paul is a lot braver than most for taking part in the parachute jump and the skydive really demonstrates the store’s commitment to the Cots for Tots Appeal.
“The whole team has put so much enthusiasm and dedication into raising money for the cause and we are extremely grateful for the continued support.”
