140 homes without power in Hungerford

The power outage happened at about 4am after trees came into contact with overhead power lines, causing a fault in the network.
Neil Anderson from Southern Electric said that engineers and tree cutters were currently on the scene trying to fix the problem.
He said that he hoped the power would be restored to all the properties this afternoon (Tues).
He said: “It is reasonably straight forward to fix but we need to do it safely.”
