Inquest openings for Mayawati Bracken, 56, and Julian Putra Bracken, 18, who died in Pangbourne on January 4, will take place at Reading Town Hall on February 15
An 18-year-old man who has been linked to the death of a 56-year-old woman in Pangbourne has been named for the first time.
At around 5.45pm on January 4, police officers were called to a reported road traffic collision involving a Lexus vehicle on the A340 Tidmarsh Road at the junction with Flower’s Hill.
Officers discovered that within the car, Pangbourne resident Mayawati Bracken had suffered a fatal stab wound.
She received medical attention but died at the scene.
Then, half an hour later at around 6.15pm, police were called to an incident on the railway track near Pangbourne where an 18-year-old man died at the scene.
This man has now been identified as Julian Putra Bracken.
Police believe the two deaths are linked, and a murder investigation was launched by Thames Valley Police’s major crime unit on January 5.
Both Mayawati Bracken and Julian Putra Bracken's inquest openings will take place at Reading Town Hall on Thursday, February 15, from 10am.
