300 homes in West Berkshire suffer water loss

Properties in the east of the district currently have low pressure or no water after pumping station power shortage

ABOUT 300 homes in the east of the district have had no water or low pressure since this morning (Tues).

Thames Water has said that a loss of power at a pumping station caused by the high winds earlier this morning has affected water supplies to people living in Upper Bucklebury, Bucklebury, Woolhampton, Midgham, Upper Woolhampton, Thatcham and Crookham Common.

At 3pm today, Thames Water apologised for the problem and spokeswoman, Natalie Slater, said: “We are working to get this problem fixed as soon as possible and hope to have customers back on supply later this afternoon.”
