More homes planned for Burghfield
The proposal is for a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom properties.
The site is on the north east section of the village, which has been earmarked for residential development.
West Berkshire Council has identified Burghfield Common as a village capable of sustaining further residential growth.
The application says 40 per cent of the homes will be offered as ‘affordable’.
Nine dwellings are for social rent and four are for shared ownership.
It says features such as ponds, woodland and open space would be included as part of the proposed site to enhance existing habitat – claiming the build will result in a 10 per cent increase in biodiversity.
