Cyclist hospitalised after crash in Tilehurst, police appeal for dash-cam and witnesses
A 73-year-old cyclist was left with serious injuries, including a broken pelvis, after a crash at a roundabout.
The incident happened at the roundabout at Oxford Road and Overdown Road in Tilehurst at about 12.20pm on Thursday (July 18).
A blue Kia Sorento collided with a cyclist on a black Brompton folding bicycle and police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The cyclist, a man aged 73, suffered a broken pelvis and injuries to his arm and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains at the time of writing.
No arrests have been made.
Investigating officer PC Matt Bowden said: “I’d like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident, or who may have seen the cyclist on the Oxford Road before entering the roundabout.”
