A good day for owls and dogs today (Sunday)
The Great Shefford country fair will feature owls, a bouncy castle, puppets and dog and horticultural shows.
The event will run from 12.30pm - 4.30pm at Great Shefford CE Primary School.
Today will also see tail waggingly good fun at an open fun day run by the Dogs Trust, Newbury.
Dogs can enjoy a family fun dog show, a doggie dash and tombola as well as a barbecue - provided they keep their owners on a tight leash.
There will also be a grand raffle, pets portraits and home made refreshments to keep everyone cool in the heatwave.
The charity is asking for volunteers to help run the barbecue and help with traffic control.
Other jobs on the day range from admission, running games and stalls, to helping with refreshments, or the Doggy Dash.
The event will run from noon until 4pm at the Dog’s Trust Rehoming Centre, Newbury, Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, RG20 OHR.
The event is free but organisers are charging £1 per vehicle.
