A NEWBURY company and shining light in global business opened a new showroom recently.
Kosnic, an established global manufacturer of the latest in LED lamp and luminaire technology, opened its new showroom at the Bone Lane industrial estate.
Starting in 2004 as a business run from home in Thatcham, Dr WenTao Kuang and Ying Hu Kuang have built their business into a multi-million pound company, employing more than 40 people.
The company said that the opening of the showroom will help to continue the level of growth that has seen Kosnic reach £12m, with growth projected for the UK and into new export markets in 2015.
Managing director at Kosnic, Dr WenTao Kuang, said: “We are very proud of this new showroom, as it enables us to show customers and the rest of the industry what is possible through LED lighting.
“It is also a great venue for distributors and their customers to use.”
The MP for Newbury, Richard Benyon, cut a ribbon to officially open the showroom.
Also in attendance were the chief operating officer of The Lighting Industry Association, Peter Hunt, and international trade advisor at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), Tony Warwick.
The new showroom demonstrates the latest in Kosnic LED lighting technology and the effect and energy efficiency of LED lighting in board room, hospitality and office space areas.
The facility has not only been created to show off the company’s state-of-the-art lighting technology, but is also available to electrical and lighting distributors and wholesalers looking to host sales events and training days.
