A noisy night at Newbury Ringcraft: West Berkshire puppies pleased with their Crufts wins after Birmingham event
Dog owners from West Berkshire ringcraft club have celebrated another year of Crufts wins.
A number of local canines brought rosettes back to the district from the annual national event in Birmingham.
The globally-renowned annual show, organised by The Kennel Club, celebrates all things canine where people have the chance to show off their pets and their dogs have the chance to show off their talents.
Back in Thatcham, more than 20 attendees, though not all winners, showed up for the annual post-event celebration.
Newbury resident Rachel Nash attended with her Norfolk terriers Wesley, who won third in puppy, and Ralph in the best veteran in breed.
Kerry Roberts returned with multiple awards for her Lagotto Romagnolo, Matilda.
Neville Rogers, a member of Newbury Ringcraft attended with his fox terrier Evie, who won the Good Citizen Award.
Also bringing home badges was Marnie Henkey with her Weimaraner Nancy, Nicola Rowells with her Weimaraner Bob, Emma Allen with her English setter Saffie, Claire Hancock with her Coton De Tulear Cindy and Sarah Rendell with her Havanese Lottie.
The group meets every Tuesday for training sessions at The Burdwood Centre in Thatcham as well as a nice cup of tea, biscuits and a chat.
“It all went very well,” said management team member Rita Aldridge.
“Last week it was very noisy,” she laughed.
“All the little young ones made a lot of noise.”
