25 years of Miss Helen Watson at The Watermill

Miss Helen Watson is celebrating her 25th anniversary at The Watermill theatre this year. She is seen here with her cast during rehearsals. The show, Seasonal Sauce, which originated in the late Jill Fraser's time as the venue's artistic director, is an entertaining amalgam of songs, ditties and comedy sketches. Over the years, the show has entertained in excess of 50,000 Newbury people, many of whom in the early days enjoyed dressing in Edwardian costume. These days, though audiences are not so likely to dress up, the quality of the entertainment has never varied. Happy 25th Anniversary Miss Watson.
