The organisers estimate that more than £1,000 was raised on the day.
The walk was held at the Nature Discovery Centre and was officially opened by Thatcham mayor Lee Dillon.
Everyone was encouraged to wear fun headwear to highlight the Alzheimer's Society motto to 'Be Head Strong'. Afterwards, there was be a small fair with competitions and refreshments.
Alzheimer's Society West Berkshire's Margaret Gould thanked all those who took part and helped on the day, especially Michelle Miles, of Cold Ash, who stepped in at the 11th hour when another volunteer dropped out.
She said that people taking part ranged from babies to grandparents, and there was even three generations of one family.
“There was a real mix of people there and it was not just local people, we had people from Winchester and Southampton,” she added.
