A34 blocked at Tot Hill due to jack-knifed lorry
UPDATE – 12.20pm: The A34 has now reopened.
The HGV, which had been blocking all lanes, northbound at Tot Hill, has now been recovered.
The incident happened around 9.15am this morning.
UPDATE – 10.15am: The A34 remains closed, northbound, between the A303 and the B4640, after a crash left an HGV stranded across the carriageway.
National Highways has confirmed that a recovery team is on its way to the scene.
It added that it did not yet know when the road would be able to reopen.
Traffic is being diverted along the A303 westbound, the A3093, the A343 Newbury Road to the A34 Wash Common interchange.
The A34 is currently closed near Tot Hill.
A jack-knifed car transporter is blocking all lanes on the northbound carriageway.
Emergency services are at the scene.
The incident happened just after 9.15am this morning (Tuesday) on the stretch of dual carriageway between Bullington Cross and the Tot Hill services.
Elsewhere in West Berkshire, a fallen tree is also blocking the Marlston Road, just before Wellhouse Lane.
