A34 closed southbound after lorry overturns near Whitchurch

THE A34 is still closed southbound near Whitchurch after a lorry overturned this morning.

The road has been closed both ways between the B4640 and the turn-off with the A303 for most of the day.

However the northbound carriageway has reopened in the last half an hour.

A diversion is in place via the A343 through Andover.

The A303 is heavily congested.
