A34 lane re-opens following collision
UPDATE - 5PM: One lane of the northbound carriageway has re-opened following an earlier collision near Speen
UPDATE - 5.20pm - The second lane of the northbound carriageway on the A34 is closed due to the three-vehicle accident, but a police officer at the scene has said that it is likely to re-open in about 10 minutes time. Traffic is queuing back towards Tot Hill.
UPDATE - 5PM - One lane of the A34 has now re-opened following the earlier collision near Speen.
Thames Valley Police spokesman, David Staines, said the police hoped to re-open the whole carriageway within about half an hour.
THE northbound carriageway of the A34 is currently closed as a result of a road traffic collision.
Emergency services were called to the A34 near Speen at about 3.30am after receiving reports of a collision between a white DAF truck box van and a white Mercedes Sprinter vehicle.
The northbound carriageway is currently closed as a result of the collision, although Thames Valley Police spokesman, David Staines, said at about 4.35pm that the police were hoping to open one lane in the next 15 minutes.
