A34 near Newbury closed northbound due to lorry collision

The A34 between Tot Hill and the A4 is closed following a collision between two HGVs.
The northbound carriageway is likely to remain closed for several hours as fuel has leaked onto the carriageway.
No one has been injured.
There are severe delays on the roads into Newbury, and the AA reports that there are delays of 24 minutes and increasing on the A34 northbound carriageway.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
Highways England is in attendance to assist with diversion routes.
Newbury Fire Station tweeted: "Both Newbury appliances are currently at an RTC on the A34 involving an HGV.
"There are no injuries but fuel has leaked onto the northbound carriage way which is currently closed whilst clean up operations commence.
"Southbound carriageway is down to one lane. Expect long delays!"
