A34 northbound now open, confirm police

The stretch of the road was closed between Milton and Abingdon after a serious collision involving two heavy goods vehicles occurred at around 4.30am in which five people were injured.
Three-hour delays stemmed well into the afternoon until the carriageway was reopened at 3.25pm, in which time the vehicles were recovered and a large amount of diesel was cleared from the road.
The Highways Agency said the recovery was made more complicated because the load on one of the vehicles had shifted.
A spokeswoman for the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), Michelle Archer, confirmed this morning that five patients were treated, three of which suffered minor injuries.
One patient suffered facial injuries and another chest and arm injuries. The severity of these injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Mrs Archer said that four ambulance crews and one ambulance officer were sent to the incident at 4.27am and all patients were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
