M4 and A34 fully reopened after overturned lorry closed junction




The A34 sliproad at Newbury has now reopened after an overturned lorry had blocked it throughout the night.

National Highways said on Twitter at around 7am this morning (Monday) that the road was now clear and fully reopened.

The incident happened late yesterday (Sunday) afternoon on the A34 northbound access from the M4 at junction 13 for Chieveley.

Recovery vehicles arrived by around 7pm last night and began the task of removing the overturned heavy goods vehicle.

National Highways kept road users updated via Twitter throughout the night.

Traffic is now moving freely around the area and there are no reports of delays.
