West Berkshire Council’s contractor Volker Highways advises residents to avoid leaving any vehicles parked on the road within the coned off work area.

And as the work involves hot asphalt and large equipment, it cannot guarantee immediate access to properties within the work area. Gate staff will be on site to assist.

The council also urges residents to arrange for any deliveries to be made before or after the stated working times.

Waste and recycling bin collections will continue on the usual days but must be put out by 6am as collection times may change to suit the works.

Emergency vehicles will be granted access under site supervision. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
