A4 was shut in both directions between Lambdens Hill and The Spring Inn pub after serious crash earlier this morning

UPDATE, 11.15am: The road has now reopened in both directions but traffic remains heavy around the area.

UPDATE, 10am: The A4 currently remains closed westbound after a crash earlier this morning.

Emergency services are currently on the scene.

9.30am: Part of the A4 in West Berkshire is currently closed after a serious crash this morning (Monday).

The collision happened near Sulhamstead and the road is shut in both directions from Lambdens Hill to The Spring Inn pub.

It is believed that three cars are involved in the collision.
