'Abandoned' car goes up in flames in Mortimer

A car was destroyed in a fire last night in Mortimer West End.
Firefighters were called to the scene after the vehicle went up in flames at 9pm on December 2 (Thursday).
A Hampshire Fire communications officer said: "Tadley firefighters were called at 21:02 last night to a car well alight on Park Lane in Mortimer.
"The car appeared to have been abandoned and was destroyed in the blaze which was extinguished using two sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reels.
"HIWFRS left the scene at 21:47 after Hampshire Constabulary colleagues were informed of the incident details."
The cause of the fire was noted as “doubtful” by Tadley Fire Station.
The Hampshire Police have been notified of the incident.
