Accidents cause further gridlock on Newbury's road network this morning (Weds)

An accident on the A34 northbound at East Ilsley, at around 7.30am, caused tailbacks to stem to south of the Chieveley junction as one lane was blocked from the incident.
It involved two vehicles and Thames Valley Police spokesman said no-one was hurt in the incident.
While all lanes have now been cleared, delays are still being experienced as the backlog of traffic clears.
Prior’s Court Road, close to the Newbury

Showground office, has also been closed in both directions due to an accident (pictured, top and bottom, delays in the area).
Police spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said that both vehicles required recovery and the road was likely to remain closed until then.
An ambulance is also currently at the scene. No-one is thought to be seriously injured.
The incidents have only added to traffic woes for motorists travelling through the Newbury.
On Monday, a section of Crookham Hill, south of the level crossing between the entrance to the south side car park and Chamberhouse Mill Lane in Thatcham, was closed for two weeks to allow for utility work, while Boundary Road is also closed until Friday.
The closures have forced more traffic onto the A339 through central Newbury with motorists reporting delays of up to 30-minutes to their journeys.
Some have taken to social media to vent their frustrations, including Charl A-Smith who tweeted NewburyToday saying: “Closing 2 major bridge/level crossings in WB = traffic chaos in Newbury!
“Not fun for anyone!” (sic).
