Affectionate German shepherd looking for her forever home
An eight-year-old German shepherd at Dogs Trust Newbury is looking for her forever home.
Described as an affectionate girl, Bella is currently being fostered under Dogs Trust Home From Home Scheme.
Bella is looking for a quiet home, where she can enjoy her golden years and receive lots of love and TLC.
Bella will need to be in an adult only home.
Introductions to potential adopters will need to be made slowly over several visits at the centre.
Any new family will have to be experienced dog owners, willing to manage how Bella meets visitors at the home, and willing to walk her in a muzzle when she is in public.
Despite being an older lady, Bella can still pull on her lead like a youngster, so will need an owner able to manage this.
She will need to be an only pet, which is fine for her, as it means she gets all the attention to herself.
Centre manager at Dogs Trust Newbury Lucy Deakin said: “Bella is a wonderful dog who enjoys the company of her human friends.
“She will happily sit at your feet to receive unlimited attention and fuss.
“Bella is currently being fostered under our Home From Home Scheme, and she very much enjoys her walks – taking in all the sights and smells of the countryside.
“She is a sweet old lady, and she deserves to enjoy her golden years with a loving forever family.”
Dogs Trust Newbury is also calling on more people to offer a temporary home to dogs until they find their forever homes.
Not only does this mean that the charity can support even more dogs, but it gives dogs waiting to find their forever family, like Bella, the chance to be cared for in a home environment.
Dogs Trust covers all the essential costs whilst a dog is in a foster home, including vet bills, food, bedding, and toys.
More information on fostering can be found on the Dogs Trust website.
