Air ambulance cleared to fly again

The helicopter was one of 22 around the country grounded yesterday (Tuesday) over safety fears after cracks were found in the rotor hub of a similar model.
After a daily safety check was performed the air ambulances have been given the green light fly again from today.
Operator Bond Air Services had grounded all 22 of its Eurocopter EC 135 helicopters upon discovery of the fault.
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance had been put on standby to cover Thames Valley and other areas across the south.
